Community Leadership Award

Recently Family Medical Center of Michigan, Inc., received a Community Service Award at the Monroe County Michigan Week awards ceremony. Michigan Week began in 1950, when 50 Michigan Business Leaders formed the “Promote Michigan Task Force” which eventually turned into Greater Michigan, Inc. The Founders set 3 goals: To help Michigan citizens learn about and appreciate their state, Tell the Nation and World about Michigans advantages for industry, business, education and recre-ation, and bring Michigan communities and people together to work to make the state even more livable and attractive. Congratulations FMC for being a valuable community leader, and a huge thank you to all the wonderful FMC staff who are the driving force behind all the good we do!

4th Annual Teddy Bear Care Fair

The 4th Annual Teddy Bear Care Fair was enjoyed by participants and staff alike! The threat of rain held off until and the event successfully wrapped up at 2pm. Buster the clown and Muddy the Mud Hen livened up the crowd who enjoyed playing games, spinning the prize wheel, painting rocks, playing corn hole and most importantly having their stuffed pets evaluated by our medical and dental teams! Thanks to all of the staff who worked the event and our community sponsors who made this year’s event a success through their generous donations!!

23rd Annual: Celebrate Children at the Mall of Monroe
Over 1000 kids attended the event, played games, received a T shirt with a child drawn logo and enjoyed a day out with their family and a free lunch! Family Medical Center of Michigan is proud to be a sponsor of this successful community event! FMC offered visors for the kids to decorate, bracelet making and fun scratch off designs. The children really seemed to enjoy the visors which were new this year. These pictures demonstrate what a great time was had by all!
